Harishachandra Fort Trekkkkkk

!!! Harishchandra Gad !!!

Well, what can I say about that trek… Avismraniya - other than a splendid trek!!!

Our Sahaydri Sangh (Bhushan, Sachin, Umesh, Rajesh, Nilesh ) decided to trek for Harishchandra Gad during monsoon season during end of the Sept... We decided to go for it on Saturday early morning… It was raining heavily full week.. but luckily on Saturday no their was no rain when we left mumbai… We picked samgamner ST around 10.45 A.M. in the mrng. From Kalyan. The route was kalyan – Khubi phata (next to malshet ghat)… & then 2-3 kilometers. Walk takes to Khireshwar Village… We reached Khubi phata at 1.20 p.m… but when we reached khubi phata we found havey rains with full of clouds.. no chance of rain will stop… So at last guys of Sahaydri sangh Decided to start our journey at exact 1.40 p.m..

We starts our journey saying “Amhi Shivache Sainik Vede, karu jivache Raan”… yes, its fact.. cuz few of our members… Rajesh n Nilesh has not carried winch heater… doesn’t matter when the target was ahead nobody seems lose of hope…. Its raining heavily while walking to Hireshwar village.. our first target was to reach Hireshwar village.. We reached Hireshwar village at 3.00 p.m… in the rainy season, the nearby climate look very beautiful…

We found one Hotel their… after having Kandapohe with tea… we left for our mission at 3.30 p.m… Lots of fogs surrounded to entire Harishchandra n side forts… One guide is also with us that time.. so he also encouraged us alots during trek…. Around 4.45 p.m. Without any hiccup, we reached Tolar Khind… the place where u found very difficulty Big rocks.. in specially during monsoon season its toughtest to climb.. We had to climb up to a pass between two mountains and climb the mountain to our left to reach h.gadh. This pass is called Tolar khind.

We found 2 elder trekers their… they are two.. but they have the most experienced then all of us.. cuz they almost trekked 12-14 forts so far… they also joined us… Alongwith trekking we was busy in taking snaps tooo..

From the Tolar Khind the climb up the small rock patch was fairly simple and uneventful. we quickly reached the ramparts of the fort…. Now, this fort is really very ancient and very little remains. Upto this point I was among the lead team while Sachin had taken up the responsibility to bring up the rearrrr. Once we reached here, sachin promised us that we were almost there, and he zoomed off ahead of usss. Almost there!! Hah!! Then we asked our Guide how many distance still remaining… He told we still had almost 2 more hrs of walking up… Our tired team was really bored covering this last part of the trekkk. The Main Reason behind this its almost 6.30 p.m. the Harishchandra is almost 3500 feet up.. tall to climate is fully to complicate matters, Alhad started having cramps in his right leg, which just refused to go awayyyy…. But whenever we feels we r too much tired & now cant go up more… we reminds shivaji maharaj many time & whats d magic.. we started getting full of our energy & hopes back whilte trekkkkkk…

By using torch & mobile lights we are almost reaching the Nageshwar Temple in Harishchandra fort…which is one of most oldest temple in the same fort… we found Snake marks in one rocks.. guide tells k this is d nageshwar mandir.. we can just see the road which is under our legs.. we cant see much around 7.30 p.m. too due to dark night… Losts of small waterfalls was their while going their.. At last we heard some noise & one Kandil also, we hope that will be Harishchandra caves… & yeah.. it was.. We reached their around 7.45 p.m.

We are almost on the top of the world…as we feels that  Harishchandra is almost lowest temparatue place in Maharashtra… we stayed in the Harishchandra Temple for entire night… What a Terrific experienced it was.. cant explain in words here…. Then we had some Rotties & some food… Entire night Rajesh & Umesh not slept…. Then after that me (bhushan) & sachin wake up at 3.30 a.m…. it was still cloudy outside…. Nilesh was the only guy who sleeps more…

Then around 6.15 a.m. we waked up again… In monsoon season also we feels like we are in Winter season cuz of Thandi .. Then after the having tea & some sandwitch we went for the caves…… But due to many fogs we missed Kokan kada.. & due to last night heavy raining it was tooo & tooo dangerous to reached their.. so we neglect that Beautiful point… we also planned for Taramati peak. On the way, we practiced a bit of rock climbing at 2/3 places. From Taramati you can see many surrounding trekking spots like - Kalasubai, Jivadhan, Bhairavgad, Naneghat, Ajoba, Alang. And you also get beautiful view of Malshej ghatttt. One of the most beautiful views u will rarely find such places….

Rohidas, Taramati and Harishchandra are the three peaks in Harishchandragad. Taramati peak is the highest one in the fort. Many peaks, fort and other beautiful places.

While returning back, we decided to use Pachnai route…. & due to less journey facility we decides to go down from same route of Tolar Khind.. We takes many snaps their… This route is a bit more steep but we had no problem as we were descending down as their was no rain on the second day… We found one big Tekking group while going down… they are continuously making noise of “Jay Bhavani Jay Shivaji” . We also joined them with full of Josh n Voice… aani mag kay.. Sahyadri sanghacha awaz purn sahyadri chya kadekapararun ghumu lagala… I, Sachin, Nilesh, umesh, Rajesh getting down by signing shivajis song.. It took us almost 2hrs to get down to Herishware village… we had some time rest also hd good Kobadi wada lunch.. & then from Khubi phata we got ST Bus for kalyan…
